Defunkt Magazine (now known as "Candy"...is NOT a "Webzine"...it is a full colour 8.5"x11" printed magazine, over 100 pages, manufactured through the four colour litho C-M-K-Y process. Founded 2001. Using only the highest grade papers for printing, it's not just a magazine, but an artistic and literary statement, worthy of conversation and display on your coffee table. The Premiere Issue was re-leased in November 2002 and is
nearly sold out. The second issue "Drama" was released in October 2003 and is also nearly sold out. Candy was released in January 2006, and was our biggest printing and fastest seller of all. Interest was very high in the magazine's My Chemical Romance exclusive interview, as well as other interviews with Skinny Puppy, Dresden Dolls, Pennywise and Goldfinger. Last but not least, the new Luscious issue is currently being assembled and slated for a mid-2008 release. Going in a slightly new evolution, Luscious will feature fast fashion, more music, more sweeties, travel, sports and the unique point of view that we are famous for! Come back soon for more details!

Past and current Contributors to our magazines include award winning authors of three published books and nationally distributed writers for: Oakland Tribune, Wired, Doll Magazine (Japan), Salon.com, Baltimore Sun, London's Channel 5, NY Times, SF Examiner, Budapest Sun, SF Weekly, EB Weekly, Girlfriends among others...CANDY is far better and much more fun than "Soma", "Flaunt" or "Paper" ...It's got an edge that most magazines wished they had. Cross-referenced with Gothic Beauty, Propaganda and Details, National Geographic might also be a pro pos. Destined to become a collector's item!
